This is Ryker minutes after his first birth on October 23, 2008.
This is Ryker a couple of days after his spiritual birth on February 4, 2015. For weeks he had been talking about his heart and wanting to give it to Jesus. Then, as we prayed before bed on Wednesday night, he told us that he wanted to give his heart to Jesus. He told us he understood that he had sin in it and that Jesus was the only one Who could forgive him. He said he wanted to give his heart to Him and live in heaven forever. So, we prayed. He was so excited that he wanted to call and tell all of his close friends and teachers and Grandma and Grammy & Papaw. We are so grateful for everyone that has influenced him to make this decision and for those that have modeled and taught him about our wonderful Lord and Savior. More over, we are so thankful that God has called him and that He has shown him unfailing love and amazing grace, that He has a purpose and plan for Ryker and that He will guide him as he begins his new life as a believer in Christ. The angels are throwing a party for him in heaven. We celebrate, too! Woo hoo! Happy Birthday to our Ryker!

4 Months
Kinsley Elle is 4 months old! She weighs 14lb 4oz and she is 26.75" long. She loves to laugh, blow bubbles with her lips, play with her toes, and roll all over the place.
January Recap
Hard to believe that the first month of the year has come and gone already. We kicked off the new year with a visit from friends, followed by some birthday fun for Jevon and I. Little Miss Kinsley started rolling over. Unfortunately, she also stopped sleeping through the night. The kids and I finally returned to "normal routine" including school and Bible study. We finished off the month with a visit from grandma and a dusting of snow.

Holiday Recap
How did 2015 get here so quickly? Our December was gone in a blink and with it went our Christmas tree, advent activities, family fun time, and birthday party for Jesus. Many memories were made, and with the exception of some major dental work for Mommy, they were ones we are already looking back on and laughing about.
Here were some highlights:
The boys took candy canes to their doctor's office and all the bell ringers at our grocery stores (and they both were brave enough to hand them out themselves and tell everyone Merry Christmas for the first time).
Ryker, after watching far too much football with his dad and the commercials that go along with it, shouted in the grocery store that we should, "get some bud light because it's the perfect beer for NFL games". Though completely inappropriate, it was innocent and made all of us laugh.
We tried to surprise Jevon with a visit from his buddies, but he figured it out the night before by telling the boys that he sure was looking forward to seeing Mr. Jared the next day...which prompted a "hey how did you know" response which gave it away that he had guessed his surprise correctly; we had so much fun catching up with the Brothers brothers and their families.
Spilling the special cocoa on the circle...an annual tradition!
Flushing the toilet while playing To Bethlehem.
Camping out in front of our fire place as a family of five!
Decorating our Christmas tree while we all sing "What A Glorious Night".
Fun with friends and family celebrating the birth of our Savior! What a wonderful finish to a year full of blessings.
