September Recap

September marked the beginning of fall for our family...even though the weather was nice, we waste no time getting into all the official goodness of autumn: football, apples and pumpkins, just to name a few. We started the month off with a football weekend in Bloomington, cheering on our Hoosiers. (They won, which is always a nice surprise!)

Tailgating with Grammy & Papaw

We took a trip to the apple orchard this month, as well. It was a beautiful evening for apple picking. The kids all enjoyed eating the fruits of their labors. Ryker ate an apple and found that it loosened his tooth quite a bit. The next day he was all too proud to pull out the wiggly thing and his smile instantly graduated to "big boy". Mom was pretty excited that we squeezed in family pictures a few hours prior so that his perfect little smile could be preserved one last time.

As is our custom, we made applesauce with our apples (among other things). Even Kinsley had fun cranking this year! Our CBS began in September and it's been great to be back in a study. While school has posed some challenges for Ryker this year, we are continuing to chug along. Deklan had some doctor visits this month and we are grateful that he is feeling better.

Faithful Colts fans, even though we haven't had much to cheer about this season.

Kinsley's first pumpkin pie blizzard from DQ...yummmmmm!

Sweet girlie rests her head while she eats...or so it would seem. I wish I could have gotten the picture of what comes next: she waits until I lay my head on the tray and copy her, then she cracks a smile raises her head up and laughs. We do this every morning at breakfast and sometimes at lunches or dinners. She is adorable!
We had a fun night with friends playing, eating, and almost watching a movie under the stars. They hardly noticed that the movie didn't happen because they had bounced so much on the inflatables, eaten way too many chocolate chip cookies, and had received glo necklaces. They did, however, notice that they had to part ways with Lainie and Caroline for the evening, which was met with much resistance.

Finally, cheering on the Cubbies, in September, knowing the season will continue into October! Woo hoo! Go Cubs, go! #FlytheW

Our funny little man and his sleep walking; we never quite know what we will see when we check on him before we go to bed. This one gave us a chuckle!
What a fun start to our fall!

Happy Birthday, Kinsley!

Our little baby girl is now a one year old! Kinsley celebrated her birthday this past weekend. Mom was so proud to finally see one of her little ones dive into the cake. She had a great time with family and friends, opening gifts, and showing off her adorable smile.

Kinsley is 28.75 inches tall, weighs 18 pounds 10.2 ounces.

Happy birthday, Kinsley Elle! Mommy, daddy and your big brothers are so grateful that God gave us beautiful you. We love you so much!
