Kinsley Elle is here!

Kinsley Elle Brenneman made her debut at 10:30 a.m. today. She weighs 7 pounds 6 ounces, is 20 inches long, and is already adored by her two older brothers!

September, we had hoped, would wrap up with the arrival of our newest family member. However, she seems to be plagued, from the get-go, with a punctuality problem. You can blame it on her mother...it's a trait I've passed on to all of our kids.

We tried to take advantage of the time by having lots of "lasts"...last walk to DQ for blizzards and butterscotch dip cones before baby arrives;

last day of school before our long Fall Break/maternity leave begins;

last visit from a trio of ducks in our front yard? I don't really know what this was, but it was a nice surprise!

last nice dinner out (PF Chang's & Cheesecake Factory...daddy spoiled us!) before baby arrives. I love that the boys appreciate all kinds of food. Look at those boys using chop stix (or, as Deklan says, "pork chops");

last minute decorating of her room;

last trip to the splash park (what a huge surprise that on September 29 it would be in the mid-80s and sunny and the park would still have the water features on for the boys to splash around!);

and last trip to the doctor for x-rays (yes, another unexpected. Deklan fell and hurt his arm. When he refused to use it after 24+ hrs we took him to the doctor. GREAT NEWS: it was just a sprain! This was his "yes, ladies, I'm a tough guy and my arm's not broken" picture).

It's been a great finish to the month/start of autumn for us! Ryker has happily agreed to share his birthday month with his new sister. Looking forward to all that October holds!

Catching Up

Two years. Catching up is, somewhat, of an understatement. With a daughter due next week, it's time that we make up for lost time. So, how do you cover two years in a blog, on extremely limited time?
