June Recap

June was the month of travel for the Brennemans. It started with a trip west to visit the Spillmans. The boys pick up right where they left off. It was so much fun to splash, ride, laugh, and play.

Then, the boys trekked to Everest...VBS, that is. They spent the week learning how to conquer challenges by relying on God.

The weather heated up and we cooled off in the pool, both indoors and outdoors. The boys took swim lessons during the month of June. They had a great time learning how to be safe in the water.

Next, we traveled east...to Camp Cathedral for a week of tennis camp for Deez. He LOVED tennis camp and couldn't have had a better time learning the basics of the sport. He did a great job on his forehand and volleys.

We celebrated Ice Cream Soda Day. We bought some Virgil's Rootbeer and we made some homemade vanilla ice cream...then we made rootbeer floats and CHEERS!

After celebrating what an amazing daddy Jevon is, we headed southeast for a mini vacation to Cincinnati. The boys were blown away by the aquarium. They touched sharks and ventured across the shark bridge. So cool! The boys loved the hotel pools. Mom loved a break from meal planning and her favorite Dewey's pizza. We also checked out the zoo and ate lots of ice cream.

 Fun for all!

May Recap

May was another blur of a month. We wrapped up baseball season. Mother's Day was a lot of fun with Grammy & Grandma stopping by for some baseball. The weather heated up and we headed outside A LOT this month. We also made it to the splash park for the first time. We started theme days here at the Brenneman house: Mail Monday, Treat Tuesday, Weed & Water Wednesday, Library Thursday, and Field Trip Friday. Each Monday, the boys write a letter to one of their favorite athletes. Tuesday, the boys make a treat all by themselves. Wednesday they take care of their garden. Thursday they go to the library. Friday we leave the house for some fun. They have really enjoyed the highly disguised educational activities! It has kept them busy, engaged, and really having fun as summer rolls along.

The Girls

The boys found an injured bird on our deck and named it Jack.

They fed it and prayed for it and when we came home from running errand, Jack was gone. They were thrilled!
Memorial Day badminton games.

First time swinging!

Daddy stopped by after work to join in on the fun.

Last baseball game of the season.

Indians game on the lawn (souvenir hat day, too).

The boys' favorite part of baseball season this year were their new friends, Lincoln & Bennett. Love these silly faces!

Thanks for following along with our adventures this spring. Here comes summer!

8 Months

Kinsley is 8 months old! She celebrated by visiting Auntie Yorn. Over the past month she has been stood on her own a few times and taken a couple of steps. She is no longer sensitive to dairy, so she's been eating yogurt, too. She plays pat-a-cake, gives high-fives, and loves to snort and giggle!
